XML site map issue "generated http error ;404 page not found

    Hi, I submitted my XML site map to webmaster tools and when I test the link it says “generated http error ;404error not found.” I tried using yoast forum in which they said to change some changes in htacces file, I followed the same and came with an error 500 internal server error. Somehow I solved this 500 internal server issue. But my site map issue is same and not getting help with anything. Anyone can help me in this? I would be thankful to him/her.
