Ordering Apple News articles

    The plugin is publishing our articles to Apple News just fine and also sending updates as it should.

    However, it seems as if Apple News is ordering our articles based on last modified date rather than the actual publish date. We do not want articles showing up at the top of our Apple News feed if they’ve been updated – we’d like them to stay in the original order.

    Is there a way to accomplish this via the plugin? I can’t find an article order setting either in the plugin’s settings or in Apple News Publisher settings on iCloud.

    The plugin provides the publish date to Apple News. However, Apple News does not currently use the publish date to sort articles. It simply publishes them in the order they were sent to Apple News.

    I’ve been told that in the future, Apple will be updating this to sort by the publish date provided by the plugin from WordPress. However, that is not yet live. When they do make the feature available, the plugin will automatically support it.
