Conditional on if custom posts

I have a custom post that is pulling dynamically from a results page. If the athlete name is in the result then it also shows up on the athlete profile page. What I would like is if the athlete has no results I would like the header to not show. How would I go about doing this. Right now I just have the header (Results) hard-coded in.
