HTTP Error on Uploading Images

    Hey everyone!

    First; I truly do appreciate any and all help.

    I’m trying to upload images to a post on my site and it’ll say it loaded 100% but it doesn’t and it shows an ‘HTTP Error’ but nothing else about it. The file is in .jpg format and I believe is the right size file. What is the HTTP error and how do I fix this?

    If you recently upgraded to WP 4.5, there is a known issue for many trying to upload media, it is discussed extensively in this thread. I found the HTACCESS workaround worked for me.

    I had this problem today and my hosting company fixed it by changing my PHP version from 5.6 to 5.5.
    There appears to be a conflict in WP version 4.6.1 and PHP version 5.6
