Inline URL window won't close

    Ever since I updated one of my WP sites to v4.5, I’ve had an issue where ever page in the backend that contains a window for text input has the new inline URL window open in such a manner where it cannot be closed or even used. A screen shot of what I’m referring to is below:

    The issue – Stuck Inline Window
    The pages it comes with – *Click Here*

    I tried updating this site to v4.5.1 to see if that fixed the problem but it continues to persist. This issue is present in the current versions of FF and Chrome.

    Hmm. That seems like a JavaScript conflict of some sort. Have you tried disabling plugins 1-by-1 to see if the problem persists? I’d start there.

    Also, if you’re comfortable debugging code, you may wish to view the browser inspector console for any errors.

    The 1-by-1 plugin attack is actually my next step. I thought I’d try here first with you guys to see if a specific plugin, or some other issue, jumped out at anybody. I’ll start down that road first thing tomorrow if I don’t come across any other ideas here. Thanks for your input.

    You called it, man: Outdated third-party plugin that I wasn’t aware had ceased running updated because the original support license expired.

    In this particular case, it was Events Plus from CodeCanyon

    I even went as far as to disable the plugin to see the issue go away, then reactivate it to see the problem come back.

    I pulled out the older version, got the latest one and now everything is working together fine. Thanks for your help.
