The theme is “Twenty Thirteen” – it was downloaded as a new theme from within the admin pages for the site.

it is called “Video Background” …

with CSS, you could set a minimal height for the container which contains the video background, but this would make problems with the responsive behaviour of the theme.
a solution could be to use jQuery to keep the min height of the container in sync with the width – but this is not my area of expertise.
maybe the plugin’s developer knows a way –
possibly ask in the plugin’s forum at http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/video-background
