I would like to use the “Keep paragraph tags” feature of this plugin, but when I activate it, and then go to edit a page or post that is already created, all of the paragraph formatting is stripped away, leaving no paragraph breaks. So for any existing page or post that I would want to edit, I would have to reformat the paragraph breaks for the whole thing first.

I tested it on a number of WP sites with different plugins activated and it does it everywhere so I do not think it is specific to conflicting plugins. I am on OSX 10.11.4 using Chrome but I am assuming this is just how your plugin works with this feature.

I do not remember this being the case before with your plugin but may have missed it; or I am thinking that WordPress changed something where they are not actually using them in the first place in the Text view anymore.

Either way, I am wondering if you have any comments to help me with this problem.

    Thanks,

    Background
The reason I am wanting to use this feature is because I have a client with a WordPress site and when he edits content on a page and saves it, WordPress for some reason strips the paragraph formatting from his edits, leaving no paragraph breaks. It does not happen to me and I even had someone using the same version of Windows (10) and Chrome (49) as my client test it on their computer and it does not happen to them. So I am wanting to use this feature of your plugin to help solve this mysterious problem that I cannot solve.

Yes, can reproduce it. Fix coming up in the next release.

    Thanks so much Andrew.

Also, I realized in my testing that once this feature is de-activated – the same thing happens again – that any content that I had edited or created with this feature actived loses its paragraph separations if I return back to edit that content after deactivating that feature in the plugin. Ideally of course we would not want that either.

I pray that you can also fix that as well, and very much appreciate that you are attentive to updating your plugin.

Correct. The paragraph tags are removed (by JS) when the content is extracted from the editor. Even if you add/paste “full HTML” in the Text editor, switching to Visual and back will remove the <p>.

I understand that this is undesirable, but don’t see a way around it. If removal of <p> is disabled, they will be removed in the next edit.

I tested it after your last update and it works flawlessly when I activate the plugin or deactivate it. I don’t remember the details of it. I just know I am grateful for your support and my problems are solved. Thanks Andrew! Peace be with you.
