Thanks for choosing Ignite!
I see what you mean. I haven’t heard any reports of this error with Ignite, so I think it is most likely coming from a plugin on the site.
To test this, you can temporarily deactivate all plugins on the site via the Plugins menu. Then, try adding a comment to see if it works. If it does, you can then reactivate your plugins one-by-one until you find the plugin responsible for the error. This won’t have any effect on your current plugin settings.
Please try this and let me know if it helps.
Thanks!
Thank you for the very fast reply!
I have all plugins disabled and still am having the problem.
I have not really publicized this site yet, so I will leave the plugins disabled for a while so if you want to go back and check again.
I tried everything I could think of to try to get this solved. In the interest of expediency I just installed WP Advanced Comment. I actually like it better since I have much more control over the comments than the standard WP comments.
Thanks for the help though. I really appreciate it.
Jim
Hmm okay glad you found a solution!
If you get the chance, could you share the most recent errors from your PHP error log? This would help me find the exact source of the error causing the white screen. If you log into your hosting account/cPanel you should see the PHP error log there.
