plugin traslation problem (wp-postratings)

Hi,

I am trying to translate a plugin which called wp-postratings. In this plugin is a .mo file. I have translated several strings in it and replaced to the same directory where it was. But it makes no changes.

How can I translate this plugin to my own language?
