Exclude posts or include portfolio

Hi there,

I want to either exclude posts or only include portfolio items from the automatic reorder.

I understand that there is a way to do it without upgrading to the Advanced plugin? It’s not so much because of the money but rather because I understand that if I upgrade I’d have to re-order everything from scratch.
