Re-Importing WordPress WXR/XML

    Hi all,

    If I have already imported my WordPress eXtended RSS (WXR) once, can I re-import it again when the WXR file has been updated with more content?

    I’m right now in the development stage, preparing to migrate my old WordPress.com blog to my new WordPress.org blog. My old blog is still ‘live’ and getting updated with more content. So I’ll need to do a re-import once I’m ready to launch the new live site.

    Can anyone advise pls? Thanks.

    It won’t reimport posts the same posts twice.

    But, do yourself a big big big favor. Before you do the import, backup your database, just in case you don’t like the results of the import.
