• Hello:
Trying from scratch to create a simple page from a youtube tutorial, but it looks like that video is from a year ago so a lot has changed on WordPress. No more “Sliders” option, which I assume is the Media section now?

I can upload pics to the media library, but I have no clue how to get them all on one page, or even as a scrolling page. I click on edit each pic, and there are no options anywhere.

Am I missing something? I’ve spent hours trying to figure this out, and it seems that many features on your old platform are missing from your new one. Please help. Are there any EASY tutorials out there and not just pointing someone to countless text pages? Thanks. Sorry for being upset, but just so frustrated.

“Sliders” would be theme-specific, this is not built into WordPress itself. What theme are you using?

Thank you, doubledesign. Yes, I was wrong, the youtube tutorial video apparently used a theme from some other vendor and not WordPress, so it’s not WordPress’ fault. Sorry for my frustration, but it’s also a learning curve for me. Does anyone know of any tutorial video or something for WordPress for stupid laymen like me? I just want to create a very simple static site, with all images on the main page, and any contact page or whatever as an afterthought.

Just having a hard time as to how to arrange any images on the WordPress layout. I’ve played around with it and get images uploaded, but then I can’t figure out how to arrange them or anything. Thanks!

PS: I can’t remember off-hand which theme I picked on WordPress, but I believe it was “Slideshow”.
