I have the same warning. Please remove the usage of get_currentuserinfo() which is deprecated in WordPress 4.5.

Seems the developer is quite busy, even many people thinking that the plugin is abandoned, but later from an article from wptavern (http://wptavern.com/frederick-townes-confirms-w3-total-cache-is-not-abandoned) that it’s not. I hope the developer will come back with a fix and an updated plugin, very soon.

@fabio … if you’re not too afraid of looking at code its not that hard to keep this plugin running smoothly. Mine is still humming along. Yes WP just released 4.6 and w3tc is still ticking just fine. Of course, assuming you’ve applied the minimum necessary patches along the way 🙂

Alternatively, there’s always this for non-coders.

@kimberly… yes, I’m still running the plugin (apparently with no problems) but I am also concerned about its future.

@fabio, yeah lots of users are concerned about that. Personally I don’t want to move to another plugin and this plugin serves me very well. I believe most of the users are thinking in this way.

We just hope Frederick will manage some time to make the plugin compatible with WP 4.6 and php 7. On the other hand Kimberly and some other kind members are really doing an awesome job to manage an alternative repo, thanks!
