I changed the script load method in the troubleshoot area and now it is showing. Should I keep it like this? or should I now switch back to the recommended option?

    Hi,

The issue is not caused by the plugin, there are multiple users with similar issues, but in all cases the issues were caused by the themes active in their websites. The themes were not prepared for jQuery 1.12.3, distributed with the new version of WordPress, and are stopping the rest of the javascript code on web pages

About your question, yes you can set the load method as “Direct”, because will load the scripts of the plugin before the scripts of the theme, however the issue with the theme will be there, if you prefer you can send me the link to your webpage to check the generated error in detail.

    Best regards.

    Hi,

You can set the script load method to “Direct”, however the error in the theme can affect other plugins in your website.

    Best regards.

Hello, I have been having a similar issue. My calculator that I use through the calculated fields form plugin had stopped working once I updated the Word Press 4.5. How can I fix this?

    Hi,

The issue is simple, many of themes available in third party directories are not prepared for jQuery v1.12.3 included in the new version of WordPress, and are generating syntax errors in the web pages, stopping the rest of javascript code. An easy solution to prevent that the code of the CFF be stopped by the errors in the theme:

    1. Go to the settings page of the plugin, through the menu option: “Settings/Calculated Fields From”

    2. Select the “Direct” option for the attribute: “Script load method”

    3. And finally, press the “Update” button.

Please, let me know the results.

    Best regards.

I tried that, but my calculator still will not pop up. It just redirects me to a page with the image used for the calculator. Here is my website if you need to see what I am talking about
    http://www.yorktownmaterials.com
and it is the materials calculator towards the bottom of the page.

    Thanks
