    Hi,

I find that Wordfence is conflicting with CMS Commander. When I deactivate Wordfence CMS Commander recognizes that plugins need updating which is correct. With Wordfence activated, CMS Commander does not recognise that plugins need updating.

What is the setting in Wordfence that will white list CMS Commander’s IP address or prevent this happening please ?

    Thank you for the help

    Stephen

  • Hello sjo007,
Under Wordfence “Options” there is a setting to define “Whitelisted IP addresses that bypass all rules”. Have you tried adding the CMS Commander IP-address (or addresses) there?

It would be interesting to know how CMS Commander is getting blocked though. Do you see any blocks in the “Banned IPs”-list? An alternative explanation is that Wordfence is hiding some information that CMS Commander needs to “read” the status of the site.

Many thanks for the reply. I now have another plugin that needs updating on the same domain and deactivating Wordfence has not rectified the problem though I have added the IP address of CMS Commander to the Wordfence Whitelist. Very strange I know.

There are no blocks in the banned ip list. I will keep trying to track down the issues with CMS Commander support.

Thank you for your helpful reply. I will mark this resolved as I now don’t think Wordfence is causing the problem.

Great plugin by the way – very useful and thank you for work in producing it.

    Best regards,

    Stephen

Thanks Stephen. If you want to share your progress later on feel free to do so in this thread.
