Headway Themes Shared Layout for Event Posts

I just started using Timely to set up a new Events section on my site: http://privatelenderlink.com/events/. I purchased the Core+ Plan in September. I use Headway Themes and would like to assign a shared layout to each event post. However, my Headway Themes Shared Layout selector is not displaying when editing the event post. I checked Screen Options and it is not available as it is when I’m editing pages or regular blog posts.
Also, I created my first 2 events and found a Timely calendar widget in my footer which look terrible. I can’t find an option in Settings to remove it. I’m not good with php so I hope there is a simple way to solve this.
