I got straight to your site at http://nycghostwriter.com/
I get what looks like a holding page. It looks to me like you have either not set up your DNS correctly or not enabled the site on hostgator. Put in a trouble ticket with hostgator tech support.
Weird – perhaps it’s a DNS propagation issue. If a DNS change was only made recently, you should be aware that it can take up to 72 hours to propagate fully.

and now it works for me, too.
Definitely sounds like slow DNS propagation. Fortunately, that’s one issue that does resolve itself if you just wait a bit. Glad to hear that you have access again. 🙂
@esmi: you realize that I’m *not* the OP? 🙂
Whoops! My bad! 🙁 Still sounds like slow DNS propagation to me. I’d suggest just waiting a while.
Thank you to everyone who responded to my question. I’m going to see if my problem is a DNS issue. It seems I have two conflicting Whois entries: One for Hostgator, one for name.com. I think the name.com DNS entries need to be removed. I will double-check with name.com.
Did you move a domain name to a new host or change a DNS record recently?
Esmi, I didn’t move a domain name to a new host, and didn’t change a DNS record. But I’m thinking I should delete the name.com DNS entries. I’m going to check with name.com to see if I should do that.
I ended up deleting the two name.com DNS entries and retaining the host server’s DNS entries. If you have time over the next couple of days, could you check to see if clicking on http://nycghostwriter.com/ actually takes you to the correct web site? Thank you to everybody who responded. I appreciate it. (I’ll check “Mark this topic as resolved” in a couple of days.)
Hi webdesignerchristian. Weird. Some people see a website and some see a gray screen with a bunch of “Related Links.” I deleted two name.com DNS entries that might have been conflicting with two Hostgator DNS entries. I’m hoping this resolves the problem.
