no confirmation email

I’m not receiving a confirmation email after signing up. The plugin appears as it should on the website, and when I enter the email address, it says “subscribed successfully.” But the confirmation email never arrives, and on the back end, the email address remains unconfirmed. I waited a day and clicked “Resend Confirmation,” but still no confirmation was received. It’s a gmail address I am trying to subscribe, and it is not even appearing in the spam folder.

Is there something I’m missing that I failed to set up?
