• Help!

I tried to install 2.5 and it went wrong so I deleted it and pressed the revert to older version button – I use go daddy. That didn’t work so I completely uninstalled WP and reinstalled it. And now it says that this site is coming soon. When I called go daddy they said something about writing a redirect script and something about roots… and that this isn’t their problem. I have had my blog since Nov. ’07 and never had to write a script before…

Should I delete every file in the FTP and try to reinstall again? or move to a host that can install WP for me?

Any advice, prayers or words of encourage would be gladly accepted.

I am not sure about GoDaddy, but if there’s a ‘index.html’ file in the folder that you normally upload your files to, delete it and upload a new copy of wp2.5 to your site. If you still have your old WordPress’ database information, use them to edit the /wp-config-sample.php and rename the file to wp-config.php.

If you don’t, but you have the database backup before the upgrade, use that database in the wp-config file.

Or if you didn’t backup anything, you probably need a fresh installation.

GoDaddy should be able to install WordPress by the way (disclaimer: I don’t use GoDaddy).
