Undo domain mapping

Resolved Not Actually Spam but a test message

I tried installing the Domain mapping plugin but could not figure out how to make it work.

So I removed
sunrise.php
and removed ‘SUNRISE’, ‘on’ ); from wp-config.php
them deleted the plugin.

Now when I try to go to a sub site dashboard I get
“The page isn’t redirecting properly”

Can anyone offer guidance?

Hello Ron,

I have reinstalled the plugin and made the changes to wpconfig etc.

Can you offer any advice on how to reverse the plugin correctly?

Have created a new sub domain site – this is the error message when I try to login to that site

The domain works
but the dashboards error says “The page isn’t redirecting properly”

Can you explain what you did outside WordPress when you mapped the domain (ex. DNS)?

The domain was already set up as a add-on domain in cpanel. So I deleted that and then added it as a parked domain.

I am pretty sure that is all I did.

This is the message I just got using chrome instead of firefox, beginning at wp-admin

The ejconnect.com page isn’t working

ejconnect.com redirected you too many times.
ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

The following is the message in firefox
from network Admin/ Sites/ Dashboard/

The page isn’t redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

How did you direct the domain in your DNS?

I have been running multi site for a long time and had set up the wild card subdomain years ago but now trying to set up domain mapping. Are there more settings I need to change?

Ron, I have MU set up in the sub directory method. Are there different instructions for sub-directory or are they the same as for sub-domain?
