Chinese characters in datpicker field

The date and days in the date picker field are displaying Chinese characters?

I am using the following date format: DD, dd-MM-yy

But the plugin is displaying: 星期五, 08-四月-2016

the date should read: Wednesday, 13-April-2016

The year and days of the week are also displaying in chinese.

What’s the fix?
