Update error, 4.4.1 to 4.4.2

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function ereg_replace() in {mumble}\wp-admin\includes\class-ftp-pure.php:113

    I see ereg_replace was depreciated in PHP 5.3 and removed in 7.0. Is there a fix or workaround?

    Temporarily I’ve regressed the site to PHP 5.6 and the upgrade completed…
