Incredibly slow login

Hello,

We’ve been using ninjafirewall incredibly successfully to block almost constant attacks – we really can’t have our wordpress website available without it.

Recently, and I can’t pinpoint when exactly this started our entire website runs completely performant, apart from logging into the wp admin console, when our logins will frequently take up to and including 300 seconds (which is when I’ve configured timeout).

I’ve managed to drill down at least to a certain point that this has something to do with ninjafirewall – when I disable it the problem clears up immediately and completely.

Would love to understand why this may be happening and in turn supply any additional information required to make this product even better!
