Hi, I have a problem with Firefox and thumbnails in posts. I have two sizes of thumbnails – large (max 800 px width) and square (max 600 px width). When I put into the post a square picture (dimensions of that picture are 600×600 px) Firefox displays thumbnail 800×800 px (so it is large thumbnail) instead of the thumbnail 600×600 px, but the size on the screen is correct. To summarize – Firefox gets from the server the thumbnail 800×800 and display it in the size 600×600 px. I have this problem only in Firefox. The other web browsers work correctly. Could you please help me to solve that problem?

  • This seems pretty unusual and not something I’ve come across before. Do you have a link to your site to help possibly troubleshoot the issue?

    Sure – http://pamietnikizpodrozy.pl/2016/03/kanapka-lodami-czyli-sniadanie-sycylijsku/

When you save the square picture, you will see that it is 800×800 px. But the displayed dimensions are 600×600 px. So Firefox should display 600×600 px picture (it is created and it is in the proper WordPress catalogue on the server), not 800×800 px.

I know what cases that problem. It is becuse a setting in Windows 7 (as a default the zoom of the screen is 125%). Firefox use automatically this zoom and it casuses the problem of displaying wrong sizes of images. Other browsers does not use Windows default zoom.
