Official Wholesale method?

    Hi,

    I work as a freelance developer/designer, primarily making e-commerce sites with WooCommerce.

    A very common request I get is to build out a wholesale system, in where select users with “wholesale” or “dealer” accounts can order in bulk, at discounted rates.

    I usually do this with a mixture of the dynamic pricing plugin and a custom user role, and potentially hidden category that only the wholesale users can view.

    I based this system off of this article

    I also see a few premium 3d party plugins offering a wholesale system

    Is there a generally accepted “best practices” for accomplishing this? A way that will hopefully survive the (at times), rapid development that WooCommerce as been undergoing recently?

    I’d love to hear your guys/girls thoughts on this, and how you accomplish your wholesale sites.

    Those plugins are fine afaik. If you want real-user feedback you may want to post on one of the WooCommerce Facebook groups – this forum is primarily for support issues so might not be much feedback here.
