404 error with gatorhost

    Hello, so I just bought hosting via hostgator and transferred my domain from tierra to hostgator. I followed all the right instructions, installed wordpress, but when I go to the wp-admin page, it just gives me a 404 error and won’t let me log in.

    This is the first time I’ve ever used wordpress and my website is completely blank, all I’ve done is purchase the domain name like 2 years ago and it’s been sitting dormant ever since.

    Do I have to wait until I’m able to access the wordpress control panel? or what should I do?

    It can take up to 72 hours for a domain name to move, because a change to Name Servers can take that long to propagate around the world.

    You did not say when you made that change, so it may just be a case of waiting a little longer.
