Yes, we have been working on this feature. It is going to be available in the Pro version of Media Library Plus to we release in a few weeks.
Seriously? You mean this isn’t a free feature already built into the plugin? What’s the point if you can’t search via folders and insert an image or document? Stupid. Uninstalling!
You can always search via the search box. Just type in the all or part of the name of a file and press enter.
Sorry but I was looking for a plugin that would allow me to create folders for organizing my images and documents that I upload to my WordPress site. I would then want this to be my default media library. If I’m on a page/post and I click the insert media button and it takes me back to the hot mess that the current media library is, then that doesn’t do me any good. I want to be able to see those folders that I created so I can easily navigate to the file I am wanting to insert.
Gotcha,
Thanks for the feedback. When we release our MLP Pro version next month you’ll get that and more.
I have exactly the same opinion of this plugin as ‘onesourcebackground’. The assignment and management of images within folders is FINE, BEAUTIFULL – if and only if – one can access the folders to insert an image in a page or post using the standard WordPress input.
Being unable to do so is a nonsense. And promising (four weeks ago as I write) a “Pro” version to add this ESSENTIAL aspect is tantamount to cornering users into purchasing. A most questionnable approach.
Sorry, but the comment is really warranted.
Any update on the PRO edition with this feature? I do not see anything in the 3.0.0 Changelog about feature sneaking in.
Howdy,
Here you go! We soft launched last week. It’s live. You can use discount code “Version3” or “Version5” to get 25% off.
