Hello there,

I could easily translate pages using Qtranslate X in order to have french and english.

I have hard time to find out how to do it for the main sections of the site.
I understand i would have to place a code like this : ” [:en]English Text[:de]Deutsch[:] ” in order for the custom fields to be button ready tranlated. But i dont understand how to place the text since the code display this : ‘

<!– COLUMN 1 – BIG MESSAGE ABOUT THE COMPANY–>

<?php

$zerif_aboutus_biglefttitle = get_theme_mod(‘zerif_aboutus_biglefttitle’,__(‘Everything you see here is responsive and mobile-friendly.’,’zerif-lite’));
$zerif_aboutus_text = get_theme_mod(‘zerif_aboutus_text’,’Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Nulla nec massa enim. Aliquam viverra at est ullamcorper sollicitudin. Proin a leo sit amet nunc malesuada imperdiet pharetra ut eros.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Nulla nec massa enim. Aliquam viverra at est ullamcorper sollicitudin. Proin a leo sit amet nunc malesuada imperdiet pharetra ut eros.

Mauris vel nunc at ipsum fermentum pellentesque quis ut massa. Cum sociis natoque penatibus et magnis dis parturient montes, nascetur ridiculus mus. Maecenas non adipiscing massa. Sed ut fringilla sapien. Cras sollicitudin, lectus sed tincidunt cursus, magna lectus vehicula augue, a lobortis dui orci et est.’);

Thanks for helping me achieve this.

Xi Li (Montréal friendly)

Hi,

We usually recommend Polylang, so you can check out this document: http://docs.themeisle.com/article/80-how-to-translate-zerif.

Thanks for that. I figured it out quickly and installed Polylang.

It works great to translate pages, menus, etc, but i cant figure out how to translate Our focus, our team, etc. since these widgets sections dont appear in the strings translations for Polylang.

Meilleures salutations de Montréal.

Alexandra,

Merci for your help. Heureusement, autodidactes people can find their way in the dark. So, after reading various documentation on translating zerif lite, i managed to find my way with my problems. I read “http://docs.themeisle.com/article/80-how-to-translate-zerif”, and realised i was using a child theme. I made the required changes and it now work like ‘comme un charme’.

Meilleures salutations de Montréal and Happy St-Patrick week-end.
