Plugin is great! Just started to use today. Much easier than messing with google developer console for gdrive.

Forgive me if some of this has been addressed already.

    Questions/Issues:
    1) I’ve tried to use more than one of the longer shortcodes of [bex_folder root=”/{file name}”] together in one page but I get a fatal error message. I don’t think I’ll run into this problem if I give each short code (folder) its own page? Do you know if that is a work in progress to have mutiple shortcodes operational in one page or is it something that won’t be developed as its a technical challenge?

    2) Haven’t looked at your coding yet, but is it easy enough to change the “Home” directory labeling? If I specify to the shortcode to be in expand straight into folder “xyz” id like it to say “xyz”.

    3) the .png file icons are very similar looking to excel files. Can I change this?

    Other Suggestions
    1) Add checkbox to open files in new browser tab
    2) when left clicking, excel files for download default to save as with a ‘(1)’ and the end, anyway to change this to same file name as displayed?
    3) checkbox to hide file extensions

    Thanks
This plugin is a big help already.

Hi – thanks for your encouraging feedback.

Let me address your questions and issues.

    1. As you’ve discovered you can’t place more than one shortcode on the same page with different root folders. Other than you’ve suggested, you could iframe the multiple pages (with a blank template) onto one page, but I’ve never tried it. I’ve no plans to develop this functionality at this point, as it would probably require a rewrite and I’ve don’t have the time availability to do that.

    2. “Home” is in folder.php if you want to change it, though I may modify the plugin to allow for this capability. Neat idea.

    3. There is an icons folder. PNG uses page_white_picture.png and Excel uses page_white_excel.png. You can replace the icons, but they’ll get overridden on any future plugin update. I don’t plan a way to change them through the plugin itself.

    For your other suggestions:
    1. It used to do this by default and people complained. I’ll see about adding a checkbox as an option.
    2. It only adds a (1) or (2), etc. if the filename already exists on your hard drive. That’s part of the browser’s functionality and not the plugin’s.
    3. Sure – I’ll add that in a future release.

    Thanks,
    Chris
