Format entry-summary text on recent post page

I would like to do two things to the recent posts entry-summary/excerpt:

Instead of “max characters, I would like to make it “max lines”. I would like to display the first two lines of each of my recent posts, instead of the first 55 characters in the post.

I would also like to import the css properties of the two lines. Essentially, how the content looks on the post is how I want it to look within the excerpt.

I see i can edit the css properties of, tc-g-cont but that still does not allow me the same control as I have with the html in the post itself. I understand this is fairly specific, but I am still curious if this can be simply done with customizr.
