4.4.2 Requires 777 while 4.3 doesn't?

    I just started a new website and installed WordPress by itself.

    I can’t upload or install plug-ins from WordPress without changing the content folder to 777.

    I have many other WordPress sites running 4.3 with no problem. So I updated one to 4.4.2. I can install plugins but I can’t upload images anymore.

    Can anyone explain why I have this strange behavior?
