Manipulating Event Calendar

I’m looking to change the way that the Event Calendar lists events on the large calendar page. Currently, all entries occurring on the same day are separated by a comma and it’s hard to discern between events. I’m hoping to have events separated by a double line break or by color… Can’t figure out how in the code.
