Can't load/search themes?

I just installed WordPress via FTP and all seemed to work well except I noticed there were 3 failed file transfers when copying files from my WP download to the server.

Never-the-less all seems to be working as it should except I can’t add new templates when I try to search I get the message

“An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.”

Maybe it’s some problem with WordPress as it says but I doubt it. Can anyone shed some light on this situation for me please?
