ERROR: Signal "SIGXCPU" is sent to script!
-
Hello,
i try to backup my WP but i always get this error and backup is being stopped after 3 attempts.
I always get this error:
ERROR: Signal “SIGXCPU” is sent to script!Do i have to change any settings?
-
What for a maximum execution time is configured ?
I think this must be set up by hosting provider?
Well honestly i have no idea what it is and where to set this?Well i thought it hast to be set up by hosting provider..
but now i found “Maximum script execution time” in settings. It was set to 180 seconds…Try to set it to 30 secounds. It mostly works.
sorry 30sec didnt work..
actually i tried to install your plugin to another wp-website with other hosting provider to test behaviour. settings are all the same but backup always stops after a few seconds and nothing happens..
you need new ticket for this or can we do it both together in one topic?
We can do it here.

@blueicehaller, can you try going to BackWPup -> Settings -> Jobs, and going down to
Reduce server load? Try setting it to medium and seeing if that helps. Basically your script is taking too much CPU time and your host is shutting it down. Try that and report back please. Also to be save, make sure Maximum execution time is 30 seconds or less. Often 25 seconds is a good setting.
Hello,
I tried all 4 Settings for “Reduce Server load” no success.
I can’t change the settings save only a few wp_* tables, it redirects me to main page.
But I wondering why it saved on May 1th 763 MB .tar including .SQL with this lines:
46935
46936 — Backup completed on 2017-05-01 03:00:10
46937Yesterday I had to deactivate “Captcha by BestWebSoft 4.3.0” due to login to backend was not possible.
Then I restarted upgrade to WP 4.7.4 which has failed previously.
Also updated a few plugins.
And I changed PHP Version from 5.2 to 5.3 because of a message that a plugin needs this.
And then I tried to execute backup and now it dumps. It’s a small webhosting plan where I can change php.ini.
Thank you.
