PDF icon did work in previous version?

    Hi,

    I have a question.
    I installed the plugin some time ago on a shared hosting environment.
    Installing Ghostscript or Imagick is not an option.
    A paid subscription to Thumber.co is not a viable option, the site is for a good cause with little money.

    I understand PDF icon creation does not work, but did it work in a previous version?
    Or am I going crazy?

    Hi Rob,

    Without Ghostscript or IMagick available, there is no way to locally generate PDF icons on your server. Thumber.co is the only way you’d be able to get thumbnails.

    A few years ago, Google Drive was an option to get PDF thumbnails, but that functionality was removed when Google removed the old version of Google Drive where this was possible.
