    Hi

Hope I can explain this ok…

I have a couple of html pages I need to put on my site outside the wordpress system but on the same domain.

I just wanted to know if it’s possible to add some html pages to the wordpress folder or would that cause conflicts

    e.g
    My wordpress homepage is mysite.com
I tried adding “newpage.html” to the wordpress folder and therefore have it appear on mysite.com/newpage.html

It seems to work but I’m worried about if there would be any conflict since WordPress is managing the urls for mysite.com

    thanks

Shouldn’t be a problem. But can’t the contents of “newpage.html” be made into a static WP page and thus easily integrated into your site’s design? (It can be done with a simple cut and paste as long as it doesn’t contain code, scripting, etc.; if it does, it’s a bit more work on your part but the results would be a seamless page.)

    Hi

    Thanks

I have a few things I’ve been thinking of adding that would probably work better outside wordpress. One of them is a flash tutorial using Wink.

I already have one up, but it would be a lot better taking up the whole screen without the wordpress sidebars and navigation.
