    Hi,
The plugin is able to create archives and also able to establsih connection with ftp server. But, unable to upload file.
NOTE: This behaviour happens only when the job is running in background. If the user is logged in to the dashboard during the job running, the backup will happen without any issue.

    Any advice on this please?

Ca you test what happens if you go to BackWPup > Settings > Tab: Network and then set up a WordPRess user Authentication.

    Hi Daniel,

Its a clustered environment. With the plugin data shared between two machine. So is there a way we can invoke the CRON from just one machine.

Something like hardcoded machine hostname url in the backwpup.php file. So that the cron job is invoked only in one clustered machine?

I couldn’t try the above option mentioned by you as it is a PRODUCTION environment.

I believe the issue is happening because cron job is invoked from multiple machine for the same shared plugin file. So setting the url as hardcoded should resolve this issue i believe.

    Hi George,

is the wordpress installation for the cluter on the same file system?

did you have BackWPup > Settings > Tab: Job Maximum execution time configured ?

The only difference betwen starting a job in Backend or with cron is that the first will start the job bei calling wp-cron.php and run the process in wp-loaded and the other starts it with a normel cron call.

    Hi Daniel,
Only the wp-content folder is shared between the clustered machines.
The Maximm execution time is “0” which i believe is disabled.

Each clustered App Server has its own wp-cron.php file.
Is there anyway i can instruct the BackWpup plugin to trigger the cron job on App server-01 without triggerring App server-02.?

    George

    Hi George,

we are heavy discuss about your problem.

For our interest is where good to have a Debug log that you kan setup in BackWPup > Settings > Tab: Logs and that rerun the job. Send it too d dot huesken at inpsyde dot com.

If there also a DB Cluster in background?
Did you use a Multisite installation?

The only solution that i see in moment is to run BackWPup on command line and start a job from there. You can use wp-cli for that.
