Adding Products with calculatable prices

    I want to add Gemstones on a site, for which there are two attributes – Carats (1 to 10), and Quality (price per carat – Fine, Semifine, Excellent).

    With 9 gemstones, and 30 variations per gemstone there are 270 in total. Is there any free plugin which could allow calculation (Carats * Price per Carat) automatically, or allow importing such variations easily from CSV?

    I wonder if product addons could help here. There is an addon type called ‘multiplier’.

    Variation attributes would be quality and gem.

    Addon would be carats.

    Gem + quality would have its price, then multiplied by entered carats. You can set a max of 10 for the field.

    That would, work. I will say however it could be better to develop something custom specific to this application if you want to best customer experience.
