Broken Timestamps for Scheduled Posts
-
I am updating (not a full admin) https://amersa.org/journal/blog/.
I am attempting to batch schedule upcoming posts. I able to do this correctly. However, I am experiencing two problems.
1. Posts scheduled for a date/time in the future are correctly posting on the scheduled date/time, but they are time stamping the original date.
For example, this post (https://amersa.org/the-authors-own-words-enrollment-in-hispanic-serving-institutions-as-a-moderator-of-the-relationship-between-drinking-norms-and-quantity-of-alcohol-use-among-hispanic-college-students/) originated on Feb 22 and scheduled for Feb 25. It posted successfully on Feb 25. Note that the timestamp for this post reads Feb 22. I would like for it to read Feb 25.
2. If posts are edited/updated after posting, it changes the timestamp to the updated date.
For example, this post (https://amersa.org/the-authors-own-words/) originated on Feb 22 and scheduled for Feb 24. It posted successfully on Feb 24. I then updated it on Feb 25 and now the timestamp reads Feb 25. I would like for it to read Feb 24.
The overall effect of these problems is that it causes errors in the chronological nature of the posts.
The last 5 posts should read (to match their publication date):
Feb 26
Feb 25
Feb 24
Feb 23
Feb 22While they were published in that order, because of the two problems I describe above, the date order stands at:
Feb 22
Feb 25
Feb 25
Feb 22
Feb 22I have searched online to no avail, and hoping someone here can help! 🙂

Have you tried:
– Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches. Also, any op cache or content network cache, as well as Cloudflare, clear those caches.
– deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
– resetting the plugins folder by FTP. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems. Also remember to deactivate any plugins in the mu-plugins folder (if you have created such folder).
– switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Sixteen, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins). Thanks for the suggestions, but unfortunately, I am not a full admin, and I do not have any admin privileges for plugins – I can’t even see the plugin list in the WordPress dashboard.
