Yes. It is safe to delete the subdomain. Or are you asking about the specific URL? Like subdomain.yoursitenamehere.com
Ok let me be clearer.
i created a subdomain called test.mydomain.com. I installed wordpress here and created my test site. Once i was happy with it, I copied all files to the http://www.mydomain.com. And changed the WordPress Address ( URL ) and Site Address ( URL) in Settings.
Id like to know if i can now delete my subdomain (test.mydomain.com)
Thanks
The instructions i followed to move my site from subdomain to main domain specifically stated “copy” the files over, and not to “move” them.

So im assuming its not safe to delete it then?
Do i got to Cpanel > subdomain > delete? Or should i just log in to my ftp and delete the “Test” folder? Are they both the same thing?
cPanel is what I did. I created so many test subdomains when I first wanted to get the hang of it all. I had so many things installed I lost track of what domain did what. [laughter]
So, yeah, you can delete the subdomain from your cPanel. And because you moved the files, they no longer reside there. 🙂
