Post listing plugin?

Hi, I’ve been looking for a plugin for the past 3 days to list posts like on this website: http://www.themegarden.com/wordpress/

It shows one post per line, has a thumbnail and the “Read more” button unveils more text. Also, the posts are filtered by taxonomy. Pretty much exactly as on the above website.

Anyone have suggestions for a free or paid plugin that is good out of the box?
