Apologies if this is a simple issue, but it’s one that’s been puzzling me all day.

The table on my page (link to follow) is auto re-sizing to narrower than intended. It is in a full-width container and on first load of the page, the table is the intended full width. But, after a second or so, it resizes itself to narrower. What am I doing wrong? I want it to remain the full width. I also want to keep the horizontal scrolling active for mobile devices if at all possible.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Yeah, this issue has unfortunately appeared with the latest version of the DataTables JS library. I hope that I will be fixed in the next release.

Fortunately, there’s an easy work around: Please uncheck the “Horizontal Scrolling” checkbox on the table’s “Edit” screen and instead use the scroll mode of the TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/responsive-tables/
That uses the same technical mechanism and should be a good replacement.

(Actually, as “Horizontal Scrolling” seems to be the only checkbox that you have checked there, please uncheck “Use DataTables” instead.)

    Regards,
    Tobias
