This is annoying. If you want people to pay, then make it proprietary, it’s OK to charge for your work, but if you decided to make it freeware, then go all the way and remove the messages.

Imagine how the WP admin area would look like if every developer were to take your approach. You’re helping to clutter the area.

I have spent to develop the plugin and test it. Not free. You can help the community by donating a small amount. But if it is a problem for you, just read the License.

As I said, charging for your work is perfectly fine and expected. You decided to make it free software but at the same time you clutter the admin area by placing those notifications, that’s not good. Anyway, it gets solved by uninstalling your plugin. Thanks.

We (the users) can’t force you to maintain your plugin because it’s under the GNU GPL but you should also consider that in wordpress.org, plugins and themes are free. You can’t ask money for services, maybe in your own shop or marketplace. I have translated all of your plugins in my native language. For free as a give back for your free plugins. Will remove them because of this behavior. I am also uninstalling. Even if i wanted to pay you, this attitude is a no-no. Thanks for creating code till today.

In no time it was mandatory. I have only spent for development and to resolve bugs that can not use it now.

But it is late as this has been resolved since February.

It is resolved since February but now it’s April and your behavior is still the same. I understand that perhaps you don’t have time but how money is going to get you time for working on this?

Simply because not did what should be done. If donations are complicated, I am looking at to make this lite version and create a pro version.
The plugin works and totally free. He did not fail to do what it promises.

Money helps in spending that I have to have to do testing, electricity bill, rent equipment and time that could be used on other things.

How is this resolved since the messages are still cluttering the admin area? As Raul said, imagine if every developer wanted to do the same thing, the admin area would be unusable. Your plugin is great and I don’t think people would have an issue paying for it (I know I wouldn’t), but the fact that you are just dismissing these complaints doesn’t show a lot of cooperation with the people who download, use, and could probably pay for your plugin. Plus, it’s not only the donation notification, is the FAQ one as well. Please, do consider listening to the people who care about your plugin. Thanks.
