Giving WordPress its own directory

I created a site in WordPress using a domain.com/wordpress directory. When I was finished I did everything I needed to do here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory – and it’s working just fine.

But how is this handled in search engines? When I google and the site comes up it has the domain.com/wordpress but I get the Not Found page.

Will it change to http://www.domain.com when the site is recrawled?
