Tag cloud to videos

    i have a ton of videos.

    so i have a “videos” page.
    on it, i want a tag cloud where if the user clicks one, it’ll bring up a list of videos tagged as such.

    the videos themselves will be a few hundred separate posts (i think?)

    is this within the realm of possibility?

    It definately is. You just need to tag your video pages with hte right tags, and they’ll show up on the tag archive pages.

    so i have the video page with no content but a lot of tags, then archive all the separate videos?

    I’d have it set up as a video category (assuming that the entire site isn’t videos), and have each video on it’s own page. That way you can just set the tags for each video, and the tag archive pages will generate automatically. It’s by far the easiest and simplest way to do it.

    but can the main video page just be a cloud of tags?

    It is possible. I believe that you’d need a plugin or a custom archive template to do that, but it is possible. 🙂

    Not really. If it was me, I’d create a child theme and add in my own template file for that category. That way I’d be able to control exactly what goes on it. At this point I haven’t seen anything that will do that for you automatically, but I also haven’t gone looking for much before either. 🙂
