Hi, I’ve been having a lot of difficulty with the unique identifier. I’ve spend numerous hours testing every different option that is available but I have not been able to get it to work.

I’m importing the fields SKU, TITLE, CONTENT and my unique identifier is the SKU (which doesn’t change). I want to be able to change the CONTENT without importing it as a new product and it’s just not working.

I’ve attached the file I’m using for testing.

Hi Jim,

You want to make an import that creates New Items, and then for the Unique Identifier choose a combination of fields to create a string that is unique to each product.

When you want to update the content, you would modify the import file and upload it to the import that created the products. We have a bit more detail on this process here: http://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/recurring/update-import/
