Fatal error when opening Customizer

    Hello

    I’m new to wp and just finished an install on my VPS. It seemed all went ok until I installed a couple of themes and went to customize, which is causing the following error:

    Fatal error: Call to a member function set_return_url() on a non-object in /home/quinju/public_html/_dev/homer/blog/wp-admin/customize.php on line 28

    I turned on debug and see the following notice:

    Notice: Undefined variable: wp_customize in /home/quinju/public_html/_dev/homer/blog/wp-admin/customize.php on line 28

    Things that I tried so far with no effect:
    1) Remove the themes
    2) Used the “reinstall now” option
    3) Restarted apache

    I’m running on Centos 6.2 / PHP 5.5 / WP 4.4.2

    I have the similar setup running locally on XAMPP / windows 10, same WP release and there I don’t have the issue…

    I’ve been googling it for the last 2.5h and found nothing so far, any leads will be greatly appreciated. 🙂
