• Have used the in-built Calendar widget many times but this time it has a strange rendering. Background is black with white text and #today is green. When I installed it a few days ago on the 19th February it just had a blank (black) space for that day instead of being green. Since then the actual day has shown up in green each day as expected but the space for 19th is still blank (black background). Have tried deleting and re-installing but that day – 19th – is blank every time.

  • Do you have a link to where this is happening? I would guess there might be a styling conflict occurring on your site perhaps with another plugin possibly or the theme you’ve selected. Either way a link would be helpful to troubleshoot the issue better for you. Thanks.

Thanks Will for reply. Site is not yet online and I’ve been caught before by support request showing up in Google results – not a good look for a web designer! It has to be a styling conflict I suppose though a very strange one. Thanks again for reply.

Hi Will – I have discovered what is causing the issue but no idea how to fix it. My website doesn’t have Posts (as such) but I did have to set up one to put a slideshow on the header of my theme. This is done by using a Post. The date of the post is the missing day in the calendar. I changed the date of the Post to see what happened to the calendar and sure enough the blank day changed to match the new date of the Post.
