• Hello!

Running version 5.4.6 of GA by Yoast which is the latest today, 2.13.2016.

When inputting the authentication code from Google Analytics (which GA by Yoast fetches beautifully by opening a pop-up of Google Analytics auth fetch) and pressing the button that says “Save authentication code”, I get the 404 page for my blog. I found an old forum entry with instructions to check that /wp-admin/admin-post.php exists, which in my case, it does, as do all the other WP core admin files.

EDIT: Also, when changing ANY setting from GA by Yoast and pressing “Save changes”, I get the same 404 error.

Thanks in advance for all help.

Ok, did research, I had to call up my host provider – they whitelisted a rule GA by Yoast uses. That solved it and it was a known issue to them – this is indeed THE solution to this problem.

This was my case too. My hosting provider solved it.
