That message isn’t from WordPress itself, so I’d guess that it’s either a plugin or your theme that’s showing that.
The easy way is find out what’s causing this is to look for plugins on the site/s with issues that aren’t on the site/s without issues. Disable those plugins and see if that gets rid of the error message. If it does you can re-enable them one-by-one to find out which one is causing that problem.
Melanie, did you ever figure out which plugin (or theme) was causing the “no apps configured” message on the login page? I’m experiencing the same thing.
No, I never did work it out! I have had it occur on a couple of sites I’ve built, but haven’t had time to work out which plugins or themes the sites have in common. It doesn’t seem to cause any problems with the live site.

I am using miniOrange Social Login, Sharing. I searched a lot on the web for a solution until I took the following steps:
OBSERVATION AND RESOLVE
I logged into WordPress, went to the Plugin settings, under Social Login, and noticed that I get this error because I have not added any social network for the login, yet I enabled it.
The options you would see are:
Under Display Options
Select the options where you want to display the social login icons
– Default Login Form (this was checked in mine)
– Default Registration Form
– Comment Form
– WooCommerce Login Form
As soon as I unchecked “Default Login Form” and saved, the error disappeared.
Try that and you’ll be free from the error. Good luck!
